GREAT SHOTS ~ Baseball is a methodical game, and at times is a bit slow.. Use this unique characteristic of baseball to your advantage when shooting photos. Unlike other sports, you know where the players will run when the ball is hit, and you know in advance what position your subject is playing. You know where the player will stand when they are at bat, fielding, etc.... With this knowledge, you can better predict the action and set yourself up for some great shots!!!
SHOT IDEAS!!! Sometimes, the best baseball shots have little or nothing to do with the game. Example, the right fielder waiting for the ball, or dugout shots with the team, emotional shots: winning and loosing, and strategic planning with the team and coach!!! Find the best angle to photograph the players based on the position they play. Take horizontal and vertical shots and try to isolate your subject.
